After cleaning with ACCUBORETM, the gun bore is returned to near factory condition. Crud that filled every nook and cranny has been removed. This has a tendency to destabilize a barrel. How many times did you wish you could suck some bore cleaning fluid out of the bottle rather than stick your patch, brush or swab into it? I’ve seen some bottles of solvent that had a half inch of crud in the bottom from dunked brushes or patches. Uncapped ammonia based solvents evaporate quickly leaving only a weak carrier. These plastic blow moulded pipets are just the ticket for dispensing fluids onto patches, or lubricating a tight spot. Keep your bottle of solvent fresh, and capped. This little gem has an O-ring that sits in a channel just in front of the threads. We call this the SAFETY GLIDE. It’s just a little wider than the barbs on the front of the jag. Most experts agree that you should run a patch down the bore only once and NEVER pull a dirty patch back through the bore. The sharp wide conical point kicks the patch off once it exits the bore and you withdraw the rod. The curved radius just in front of the O-ring gently lifts the jag for re-entry into the bore. The O-ring makes contact with the crown of the muzzle allowing the jag to ride on the soft rubber bumper. The metal jag or metal rod never touches the delicate rifle bore.
