Even when Benellis were better known as hunting and law enforcement guns,
target shooters began taking them along to skeet and trap fields
and sporting clays courses. The cycling speed, fast handling qualities and
unmatched reliability of Benelli arms made them a natural for shotgun competition.
Now Benelli offers a shotgun made from the start for the competitive shooter:
the Benelli Sport. Each Sport is provided with a pair of interchangeable
feather-weight, carbon fiber ribs: a stepped version for skeet or sporting
clays and a wide 10mm rib for trap.
The Sport features an adjustable buttstock drop and the length of pull is
also adjustable by removing or replacing a series of optional spacers
between buttstock and recoil pad.
The 28" barrel has a chrome-lined bore and is proofed for steel shot.
A set of five quick-change extended choke tubes allows the proper
pattern for every kind of target.
