Dissipator A3 Model

This versatile carbine has features that make it unique in the Bushmaster XM15 family.
Rifle sized handguards - molded of thermoset polymer composite - dissipate barrel heat quickly.
The M16 A2 sight system on this carbine offers full sight radius for optimum accuracy, and
adjustment for both windage and elevation. The elevation knob is graduated from 300 to 800
meters and automatically compensates for bullet drop. Two flip-up apertures are designed for
either short range shots at moving targets or long distance accuracy. With a chrome
lined bore and chamber, the .223 caliber heavy barrel offers excellent accuracy and long life
in a carbine length and includes a cage style flash suppressor with closed bottom to
eliminate dust signature when firing from the prone position. Upper and Lower receivers
are forged from lightweight aircraft aluminum. The Upper has an integral cartridge case
deflector and the lower features a last round bolt hold-open which alerts the shooter to reload.
A rugged telescoping buttstock is standard on military models, but an A2 “trapdoor”
style buttstock (with storage compartment) is also available.

The A3 Type Dissipator has the “flat-top” style Upper Receiver with an integral Picatinny
rail to offer a variety of sight, scope or night vision mounting options. A 1/2 M.o.A. M16A2
rear sight is incorporated into the Removeable Carrying Handle.

The XM15 E2S Dissipator Carbine is shipped complete with 30 round magazine, carrying sling
and Operator's Safety and Instructional Manual, all in a hard plastic shipping case.
