K.I.S.S. S.S.T.
By popular demand, the coolest K.I.S.S. knife yet.
We had to make it, because everyone said they wanted one.
After the immense success of Knifemakers Guild Member Ed Halligans
CRKT K.I.S.S. knives, we thought the family was complete. Theres the
Tanto-blade Original K.I.S.S. (Keep It Super Simple) which started it all,
the Classic K.I.S.S. with a modified clip point blade, the hefty Sampsons
K.I.S.S. and the delicate Delilahs P.E.C.K. With eleven CRKT variations
on the K.I.S.S., what more was there to say?
Then a package arrived from Ed. Inside was the knife you see here, an even
more minimal K.I.S.S., shorter, lighter, simpler in detail, with a modified
Wharncliffe blade. Ed called it the S.S.T., or Short, Stubby Thing. What to
do? We werent sure.
Then Ed started making custom versions of the S.S.T. and spread the word
on his web site to see him at the CRKT booth at the next major knife show.
Wham! All we heard from knife dealers for three days was, When can I
get that new S.S.T. K.I.S.S. of Eds? You want it, youve
got it. And there are
plenty of reasons why this would be your K.I.S.S. of choice.
Its the ultimate money clip knife, with the design clarified to only the bare essentials.
It also makes an excellent utility knife, with hundreds of daily uses. More
heft and handle width make it easier to use. And the S.S.T. is available with
both
Razor-Sharp and Combination Razor-Sharp and Triple-Point Serrated cutting
edges, which makes it ideal for cutting string, rope or corrugated boxes.
Build and finish are as great as the Original K.I.S.S.: blade and handle
are AUS 6M stainless steel, fine bead blast finished. The single side ground
blade
tightly seals against the handle when closed, and that prevents accidental
cuts. When open, the integral Frame Lock gives a secure lock-up.
