Ultra Carry II
Ultra Carry pistols put the power of the .45 ACP and .40 S&W into such
a light and totally reliable package that comparisons with any other 1911
are impossible. At the same time, the simplicity of the 1911 makes the Ultra
Carry a better, more dependable choice than other semi-automatic designs.
Weighing just 25 ounces and with a 3-inch match grade barrel, their slim
profile makes them easy to carry and conceal and at the same time ensures
they
are accurate, naturally come to target and easy to control during recoil.
The Kimber design simply does not compromise quality or reliability
to reduce size and weight.
With the same lightweight 7075-T7 aluminum frame as Kimber Compact Aluminum
pistols, the Ultra Carry accepts flush-fitting seven round magazines.
A dual captured low effort recoil spring design keeps manual slide operation
easy. Kimber's extended thumb safety, slide release and magazine release
button make single hand operation possible-even for shooters with smaller
hands.
The Ultra Carry Series has many unique design features that ensure reliable
function. The ejection port is beveled at both front and rear to give adequate
clearance to ejecting brass. The slide has the longest cycle time of any short
1911, giving the magazine spring extra time to push the next round into
proper feeding position. This design is also resistant to jams caused by dirt
and burned powder.
The new Ultra Ten II has all the features of the Stainless Ultra Carry combined with a polymer frame and ten round capacity.
In a carry pistol function, dependability and power are everything. The Ultra Carry Series does not force a compromise in any critical area.
Special bevels at front and rear of ejection port prevent ejection jams common
to other small semi-automatics. Dual captured low effort recoil
springs make it easy to cycle the slide. Polished and relieved breech face
and special slide stop make feeding totally reliable.
Continual inspection during every stage of manufacturing is one of the ways Kimber earned the reputation for making the world's finest production pistols. Over 200 different inspections are performed on each pistol. |
The unique Kimber bushingless three-inch bull barrel design makes the Ultra Carry exceptionally accurate, even when compared to full size pistols. Keeping barrel weight forward also reduces felt recoil. |
Ultra Carry pistols weigh just 25 ounces, making them easy to carry. At the same time they are strong enough to handle even the most powerful defense loads over a lifetime of shooting. |
