Custom Shop
The Kimber Custom Shop builds several special pistols that include many popular
custom features at reduced prices. Performing these modifications
in tandem with manufacturing reduces costs substantially, making these pistols
an incredible value among premium 1911's.
Custom Shop models include features like 30 LPI front strap checkering, ambidextrous
thumb safety, match grade Premium Aluminum Trigger, stainless
steel match grade barrel with polished match grade chamber and special Custom
Shop markings.
Both the Gold CombatTM and Gold Combat StainlessTM are designed for carry
and defense. Meprolight Tritium three dot (green) night sights are
standard on both models.
The Gold Combat is finished in matte black KimPro™, a state-of-the-art
self-lubricating finish that withstands 1,000 hours of salt spray or saltwater
immersion without rusting. Nominal thickness ensures it will not interfere
with fit or function in any way.
The Gold Combat Stainless has a stainless steel slide and frame with a non-reflecting satin finish.
The Super Match™ is the top of the Kimber line, and quite possibly the
finest 1911 pistol ever produced. Both the frame and slide are machined from
stainless steel forgings, with the slide finished in black matte KimPro. The
contrasting frame is bead blasted to a satin finish. Each Super Match is
guaranteed to have shot a fifty-yard group of less than three inches.
Some Custom Shop pistols include the KimPro finish, the hardest thermally
cured firearms finish available. KimPro is a phenolic resin material that
bonds permanently and is resistant to acids, oils, solvents and water. It
withstands 1,000 hours of salt spray and saltwater immersion with no evidence
of rust, and is also self-lubricating. The Kimber Custom Shop can refinish
most Kimber pistols in KimPro.

 Every Super Match pistol is tested for accuracy and is guaranteed to have shot a fifty yard group measuring three inches or less. The actual test target is packaged with each pistol. |
 Meprolight Tritium three dot (green) night sights are standard on the Gold CombatTM, Gold Combat StainlessTM, the CDP Series, and both the Custom/Night Sights and Stainless/Night Sights models. The Custom Shop can install Meprolight night sights on any Kimber pistol as a replacement to standard fixed sights. |
Gold Combat
The Gold Combat has most of the features of the Gold Match and includes many
Custom Shop features like a stainless steel match grade barrel and
chamber, 30 LPI front strap checkering, extended beveled magazine well, stainless
steel match grade barrel bushing, special bordered and
hand-checkered double diamond rosewood grips, extended ambidextrous thumb
safety, match grade Premium Aluminum Trigger, Meprolight
Tritium three dot (green) night sights and special Custom Shop markings.
Gold Combat Stainless
The Gold Combat Stainless has all the features of the Gold Combat. Instead
of a KimPro finish, the stainless steel slide and frame are bead
blasted to an elegant satin finish. Many consider this pistol to be the finest
full size carry gun available today.
Super Match
The Super Match is Kimber's finest Custom Shop pistol. It has all the features
of the Gold Combat, and includes a stainless steel slide finished
in KimPro and a stainless steel satin-finish frame. Also included is the Kimber
adjustable sight. Tested for accuracy, the Super Match must shoot a
fifty-yard group measuring less than three inches, and the test target is
packaged with each pistol.
