Rouger Deerfield Carbine 99/44
We've taken the classic Ruger .44 carbine, introduced in 1961, and revitalized
it with the latest in engineering and design refinements. Like it's predecessor,
the
all-new Ruger Deerfield self-loading carbine is compact and lightweight, and
ideal for one-handed carry through dense woods. All major components are made
of heat-treated chrome-molybdenum alloy steel. The self-loading action allows
up to four quick shots, and the powerful .44 magnum cartridge is ideal for
deer
and similarly sized game.
These proven features are combined with a greatly simplified internal design.
A 4-round rotary magazine, ideal for feeding rimmed cartridges, replaces the
original tubular magazine. Ruger's current centerfire self-loading rifle system
is incorporated and adapted to the .44 magnum cartridge. The result is a most
reliable
and dependable hunter's carbine.
