Starting with proven standard SIG SAUER P220S, P226S & P229S models,
we've integrated customized features to give competition shooters a
real competitive edge. These include extended controls for quicker, easier
operation, adjustable target sights and vented compensators. Heavier,
target-type barrels give these pistols greater stability and accuracy. Vented
compensators subdue muzzle jump. Each pistol is built on a durable,
trouble-free stainless steel frame and comes with its own test target.
But there's more... each SIG SAUER sport pistol is actually hand assembled
by a dedicated technician at the SIG SAUER facilities in Germany. Each
pistol is then hand fitted and hand tuned to ensure smooth operation and the
kind of superior accuracy you would expect from a SIG target grade pistol.
SIG SAUER Sport Pistols are rigorously tested beyond normal limits and, if
need be, is adjusted to ensure the very highest levels of performance, and
a
proof target is included with each pistol.
All SIG SAUER sport pistols are manufactured with a heavy contour target
type barrel and a precision machined stainless steel frame. This adds significant
weight and rigidity and their increased mass reduces felt recoil and improves
control. Both the P229S and P220S feature a vented compensator. These units
employ a muzzle brake with an expansion chamber to soften recoil and help
prevent muzzle rise, thus improving on-target accuracy for second and subsequent
shots. The compensator is removable on the P220S. The P226 Sport is equipped
with a weighted frame extension and extended barrel. SIG SAUER sport
pistols are equipped with soft rubberized grips for added comfort. Both frames
and slides are precision machined from solid blocks of stainless steel. Calibers
include the potent .357 SIG and .40 S&W for the P229S, 9 mm for the P226S
or .45 ACP for the P220S. You can further customize your SIG Sauer sport
