SpyderHawk
One size fits all. Great idea, but it doesnt work for everything.
Sometimes there is a need for a larger folder. Spyderco introduced its mid-sized
hawkbill bladed knives in the 80s, setting an industry standard. After requests
for a larger version: the SpyderHawk is unveiled. Hawkbill Blade,
serrations and a pocket clip, are desired features in the marine, boating
and paddling industries. The SpyderHawk is designed to shine in and around
water.
The C77 blade is made of premium stainless steel, in this case VG-10, and
is 3-3/8 (85mm) long. With an arcing curve and serrations this blade
shape
is highly efficient for reaching out, grabbing line, rope and/or webbing and
making a pulling cut. By virtue of the round opening hole, the knife can be
retrieved
from a pocket- opened- used- closed- and returned to a pocket all with one
hand. The blade is housed in a FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon resin) handle
covered in waffle texturing for assertive gripping. Left-handers and right-handlers
alike can appreciate the metal pocket clip, which, with a coin or slotted
screwdriver can be attached to either side of the handle. Overall length of
the SpyderHawk is 8-1/4: (210mm) and it weighs 3 oz(85g).
